We apply a broad toolbox of traditional and modern synthetic methodologies, supported by computational chemistry to design efficient synthetic routes. In our well-equipped organic chemistry laboratories, the chemists routinely work with the synthesis of commercially unavailable building blocks, amino acids derivatives, intermediates, reference compounds, impurities and final compounds. We are experienced with synthesis of milligram to multigram scale deliveries of the final product.

The analytical and separation instrumentation capability facilitates the purification of small molecules and peptides with up to gram scale normally using RP-HPLC, SFC, and autoflash systems.

Since the inception of RGD, we have been involved in peptide chemistry, and it has now emerged into one of our main areas of expertise. We design and perform both solution and solid phase synthesis of peptides and macrocyclic molecules, normally using automated peptide synthesizers. We take advantage of the latest developments in the peptide field and are very experienced with various chemical modifications including macrocyclization, bi- and tricyclic peptides, click chemistry, mixed disulfide bridges, ring closing metathesis, lactamization and reductive amination. Our working knowledge is also considerable regarding native chemical ligation and conjugation of peptides with PEGs, lipids, fluorescent dyes, biotin, and other conjugates. We do regularly perform counter ion exchange of the final peptides – the most common being trifluoroacetate, hydrochloride and acetate.
